i mixed em to there doing fine right now convict r hardy fish and they can survive in African ph levels
Yes that is the general rule, but I made exception on this one. It’s kind of like your not suppose to mix Tanganyikans and Malawis but it works out great anyways. Yes PH is different. But I went for it had he is doing great.
You are not supposed to mix African and South American Cichlids.
yeah my Compressiceps (camera shots do make him look like a calvus) is a very good fighter. In the end he dominates over pretty much 1/2 the tank. He is really good with tactics rather than brute force.
is the calvus a goood fighter?

Well, usually Angels are pretty finiky. I personally have seen them only with clown loaches, and plecos. If you can get a pair and mate them, they make excellent fish to keep. Very pretty for sure. I have never kept them myself though. So maybe try posting in the general section on the forum to get some more info. The people their are really helpful. GOOD LUCK with you fish!

Angels usually are best left by themselves because they are so fragile. They would get beat up pretty bad. Fire mouths are pretty tough, but their water perameters are different than that of a convict. Also convicts can have a lot of additude so they are pretty rough on the other fish. Mine happened to work out. It was an expairment. But if your looking for really good info on fish w w w theoscarspot dot com is an awesome resource for info.
got a 20g and are going to make rock caves with bogwood how many african cichlids could i fit in there do u think enough room for a convict, fire mouth and 2 angels. if not what cichlids wud u recomend thanks !
